The GreenPP consortium brings together eight organisations from five European countries, representing a diverse mix of expertise and institutional backgrounds. It includes a leading university in education, research, innovation, business, entrepreneurship and informatics; a research and consultancy SME specialising in security, justice systems and law enforcement; governmental bodies responsible for crime prevention, sentence execution, social reintegration and prison management; an SME member of the original E-SeaP programme; another research and consultancy SME promoting good practices in corrections and social inclusion; and the largest entity within the Federal Public Service of Justice, which oversees correctional facilities, a central administration, and two training centres for prison staff.

The Beira Interior University (UBI) is one of the most recent public universities in Portugal, but it is also a landmark institution in the educational, research, innovation, entrepreneurship and engineering and health-related fields. Their mission is to “Promote high-level qualification, production, transmission, critique and dissemination of knowledge, culture, science and technology, through study, teaching and research”. Considering all the expertise, the background and experience of the members of the UBI team, it is considered that UBI will contribute to the achievement of the objectives intended with the project and will potentiate the success and the outcomes attained with it.

IPS_Innovative Prison Systems

​IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (IPS) is a research and consulting firm specialising in advancing criminal justice systems, with vast experience in developing and implementing EU projects, namely in judicial cooperation in criminal matters. Moreover, it has experience in developing awareness-raising and supporting training materials for aiding stakeholders (namely judges and prosecutors) in their daily work.

General Directorate of Reinsertion and Prison Service (DGRSP) 
Portugal

​The DGRSP has the mission "to develop policies for crime prevention, enforcement of judicial sentences and measures, social rehabilitation and management of the juvenile justice system and prison system, ensuring conditions consistent with human dignity and contributing to the defence of order and social peace "(Article 2 of decree-law No. 215/2012 of 28 September). In addition, DGRSP is in charge of developing crime prevention policies for the execution of social reintegration sentences and measures and the articulated and complementary management of the educational and prison guardianship systems and provides technical advice to courts in criminal proceedings and juvenile justice.

​DGRSP aggregates probation services to supervise sanctions and judicial measures in the community applied to offenders, promoting the social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism.

Romania

European Strategies Consulting (ESC) is a small research/development and consultancy company aiming to promote good practices in the area of corrections and social inclusion. Its main activities are organized around prison and probation areas. ESC members are continuously involved in activities on the behalf of national, European and international organizations as a consultant on policy reform, formulating recommendation, advising on law-making strategies and drafting action plans.

Belgian Prison Service
Belgium

The Belgian Prison Service is the largest entity within the Federal Public Service of Justice. In addition to a central administration and two training centres for prison staff, it oversees 35 correctional facilities – 17 in the Dutch-speaking region, 16 in the French-speaking region, and 2 in Brussels. Its core mission is to ensure the lawful, safe, humane and individualised execution of custodial sentences and measures, with the ultimate goal of facilitating the successful reintegration of individuals into society. Building on this foundation, the Belgian Prison Service promotes an innovative detention policy in which the inmate occupies a central role. The detention model is grounded in a balanced approach between dynamic and static security, guided by the rights and responsibilities of both inmates and staff, and by the commitment to safeguard the integrity of all employees.

Foundation for Environmental Education in Türkiye (TÜRÇEV) is an NGO with the aim of raising awareness on issues such as combating the climate crisis and adaptation to the changing climate, stopping and reversing the loss of biodiversity (which is the most important infrastructure of climate-resilient cities), preventing intense pollution caused by industry and urbanization, with a focus on education for sustainable development, and to provide education and awareness-raising by reaching people of all ages about the responsibilities that individuals and institutions can take in solving all these problems.

Kahramanmaraş Training Center for Personnel of Penal Institutions and Detention House (Kahem)

The Kahramanmaraş Training Center for Personnel of Penal Institutions and Detention House (Kahem) operates under the Turkish General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses within the Ministry of Justice, and stands as a crucial entity in the Turkish correctional landscape. It provides annual training for approximately 4,500 to 5,000 individuals, playing a vital role in the education and skill development of prison and probation personnel.
Kahem operates within the regulatory framework established by the government. This affiliation positions Kahem as a strategic player in the implementation of national policies and reforms aimed at enhancing the prison system's efficacy. The organization's activities align closely with the broader objectives outlined by the Ministry of Justice, showcasing its commitment to contributing significantly to the advancement of corrections and rehabilitation in Türkiye.
